DxO has just announced that it’s entering the camera manufacturing business (adding to its established business of photographic software) with the DxO One<\/a>. It’s a camera module that connects to iPhone or iPad models with a Lightning connector, as shown in the picture below from DxO’s press lounge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With this camera, DxO is trying to achieve DSLR-like image quality in a small form factor. With a small sensor and no optical image stabilisation, I suspect it will just perform similarly to other small-sensor cameras\u2014well enough for static subjects in most lighting conditions, but ill suited\u00a0for low light action.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
