Key photographic website Digital Photography Review (DPReview) is closing down on 10 April 2023. It appears that parent company Amazon has decided it is not worth keeping that website running. Amongst the websites that I used to follow closely when I started digital photography, and which were not solo photographers’ website, I think this leaves Imaging Resource as the only other key photographic website still standing.
It is a pity that Amazon is closing down DPReview, but I suppose that is the reality of business in the COVID-19 world of today. Every human endeavour is under pressure, and if a venture is not producing gains, or is not seen to be producing gains, then away it goes.
